The joy that flowssssss....

Well the snow came, it fell, it was beautiful and now it's melting. My kids LOVE the snow and so do I. I am originally from Delaware, where it snows and the whole state closes down for flurries so of course when I moved to Ohio I was super excited about the thought of mountains of snow.I have to admit  I get all giddy when it's snowing and look out the window a bazillion times, make hot cocoa and snuggle with my little people, it is the BEST! And one of my favorite memories when I was a kid was eating "Snow Cream" so I always make it with my kids every year...so if you are looking for a recipe here it is:
Levi & Nyah Making "Snow Cream"

             1 Big bowl
             1/2 Cup Sugar
             1 Cup Milk
             1 tsp. Vanilla

Mix together until "sherberty" and Enjoy! :)It's fool proof even I can make it

Here is my crew making a snow "Kid" and having a snow ball fight, ahhhhhhhh the snow, it is the Best!

It was that perfect crunchy snow the kind you just wanna scrunch around in all day!

And in case you need a laugh here's the one and only Jada Bay She could not stop laughing at her sister playing with daddy! I love her!

Hope that gave ya a little joy today!!

Potty training Tips!

Why....oh why?  Tonight I found my son hiding and silent in his cute blue car undies in the living room behind a rockin chair. One look and I knew it was gonna be bad....
I said "hurry run to the potty!"  , but the "junk in the trunk" assured me I was just too late....and I was right, there ended up being a  horror show in the bathroom of green, nastiness! All I can say is thank GOD for paper towels and Dawn dish soap!  Forget toddler wipes ...for jobs like these those little wipes just don't cut it! Not to mention my 2 1/2 year old boy is the size of a 4 year old!! So everything that comes out of him is massive and manly also...grosss. Potty training is definitely on the bottom of the mom totem pole. Yeah it's down there with clipping toe nails, and cleaning up puke.  But it has to be done!  Even though Levi is not all the way potty trained yet I figured I would share some tips that have helped me.....

Levi is doing really great with potty training, besides the occasional "episode" and some things that have really helped me are Sticker charts... I tried candy with my daughter  Nyah and she loved that but after a while it starts to get a little too much, and we ended up doing sticker charts for her too and that worked really well. Levi loves trains so we do a train track that I found at the link below and after he goes He puts a sticker on the track. Click the link to print your own off.........

Another Helpful potty tip for boys  is to let them watch there daddy go, Boys love there daddies and wanna be just like them, so any chance I have when my hubby is home I send Levi to the potty with him! Plus it gives me a break ;) I tell him He should go potty like daddy and be a big boy, and he likes that!

I also don't do any kind of pull-ups at all I just go straight to underwear when I think they are ready, that way there isn't any confusion, I think they feel too much like diapers and in undies they can feel "wet".

So thats our plan and we are stickin to it, it worked for Ny and we are almost done with Levi, I just have to venture out of the house with undies, and that will be the finale!

I leave you with the potty dance:

Happy Potty Training!

Those TWO words.........

It's the Scream heard around the world.....it can send chills down your spine, make your eyes water, sometimes even make you laugh hysterically, we've all heard it and today while trying to start this blog for family across the way to read how crazy my kids and life are I heard it from my little man.....

"LOOOK MOM!" ---Levi Screams

Now at that moment when your 2 1/2 year old son screams that;  you do one of two things.... cringe and slowly creep to see what He has possibly done ...or you RUN away!

Today I cringed and looked to see him pants pulled down floor wet, peeing  on his 5 month old baby sister Jada..... and I did what any mother would do in that situation I  laughed hysterically.

Just another day in the life of a mom!
